In diesem Sinne. Frohes schaffen!

When asking people to fill out a poll or to rate something try 3 options, most, least, and everything else. That’s about all people can really distinguish anyway so adding more choices only makes things harder without you getting any extra beneficial information.

When creating multiple packages for your product or services consider reducing the amount of offerings. Again 3 works well here, a low end package, a high end package, and a middle package for most people. If choosing any package requires a complex decision with a great amount of research, keep in mind Hick’s law may not apply very well.

"If you’ve ever visited a landing page sales letter without navigation of any kind, now you know why there was no navigation present. The page leads you into exactly 2 options. Buy the product being sold or don’t buy it. Adding any other options like navigational links would only decrease the probability that you would buy the product."

"Frederic Raphael, who co-authored the screenplay for ‘Eyes Wide Shut,’ recalls Kubrick questioning whether a film could truly represent the Holocaust in its entirety. After Raphael mentioned ‘Schindler’s List,’ Kubrick replied: ‘Think that’s about the Holocaust? That was about success, wasn’t it? The Holocaust is about six million people who get killed. `Schindler’s List’ is about 600 who don’t. Anything else?’"

The Quick Bar isn’t offensive because we don’t want Twitter making money with ads, or because we object to changes in the interface.

It’s offensive because it’s deeply bad, showing complete disregard for quality, product design, and user respect, and we’ve come to expect a lot more from Twitter.

"What you do for a living is not be creative; everyone is creative. What you do for a living is ship. And as someone who knows how to ship, you have a discipline and part of your discipline is that you insist on thrashing early."

"Running a successful, mature corporation requires that executives simultaneously juggle a huge number of variables that affect their bottom line. Inevitably, the cost-benefit analysis of “user experience” doesn’t add up, so it’s the first thing to go."

"Abstracting away the details, the word “corporation” is great for getting things done, but it also bring with it qualities that are difficult to empathize with. All that most customers want out of their perceived experience with a “corporation”—not to be confused with the product it sells, mind you— can actually be summed up in the Three Laws of Robotics. If, here, we replace “robots” with “corporations”: A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm. A robot must obey any orders given to it by human beings, except where such orders would conflict with the First Law. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law. Ironically, were corporations to act according to the laws of robotics, consumers might find these entities are less self-interested and the more customer friendly in all of their interactions."
